THERE'S MORE TO THE STORY AT HAWAII'S PUBLIC LIBRARIES
Gov. Green Proclaims National Library Week, April 23-29
HONOLULU -- If you haven't checked out one of Hawaii's 51 public libraries lately, you're missing the full story. The Hawaii State Public Library System (HSPLS) encourages all community members to stop by their local library during National Library Week, April 23-29, to explore all it has to offer.
"Most people know about the wealth of stories available at the library, from picture books and large print to audiobooks and e-books, but there's so much more to interest and delight our keiki to kupuna and everyone in between," said Stacey A. Aldrich, state librarian. "We invite everyone to visit your local branch to find and try something new during National Library Week," Aldrich said.
Get an early start to the week by joining Hawaii's State Poet Laureate Brandy Nālani McDougall as she shares her unique and empowering stories of Hawaii through poetry on Saturday, April 22 at 10 am. Register today for this exclusive virtual event at bit.ly/GetPoetic.
Discover these special programs only at one of Hawaii's public libraries during National Library Week: bit.ly/hspls-nlw2023.
