Hawai‘i Public Radio to host live indie music concerts next month

HONOLULU—Next month, Hawai‘i Public Radio presents an indie music lineup for its summer concert showcase at HPR’s Honolulu studio. 
 
HPR's
INDIE808 Performance Series takes place Saturday nights Aug. 19 through Sept. 9 at HPR's Atherton Performing Arts Studio at 738 Kāheka Street in Honolulu. Doors open at 7 p.m. and each show begins at 8 p.m.

The concert lineup for this season is as follows:

Aug. 26 -
The Mauve
Sept. 2 -
Evan Khay
Sept. 9 -
Kennedy Taylor & The Electric Pancakes
 
General admission tickets are standing room only for $45 and are available to
purchase online. Fans of the artists may access specially priced tickets by following them on their social media platforms.
 
Capacity is limited for each show. All ticket sales directly support the featured local artists and help HPR cover program costs.
 
Audio and video of the concerts will be recorded for future broadcasts and online content on HPR's platforms.

HPR-2, the news, local talk, and music stream, is found on Maui, Moloka‘i, Lana‘i (KIPM 89.7 FM and KIPH 88.3 FM (Hana)); West Hawai‘i (KIPM 89.7 FM and KHPH 88.7 FM); O‘ahu and Kaua‘i (KIPO 89.3 FM; KIPL 89.9 FM).
