Access WorkHawaiʻi services at Hawaiʻi State Public Libraries

HONOLULU -- Mayor Rick Blangiardi announced today that the Department of Community Services, WorkHawaiʻi Division has partnered with the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System to provide career development services and program information access to ten participating libraries since February, 2024.

Each month, WorkHawaiʻi staff will be present at the following libraries:

‘Aiea -- First Wednesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Kahuku -- First Monday, 9 a.m. -- 12 p.m.
Kaimukī -- First Tuesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Kalihi-Pālama -- Second Saturday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
McCully-Mō‘ili‘ili -- Third Tuesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Nānākuli -- First Wednesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Pearl City -- Second Wednesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Wahiawā -- Second Tuesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Wai‘anae -- First Monday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Waimānalo -- First Wednesday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

WorkHawaiʻi's ongoing partnership with the Hawaiʻi State Public Library System is the latest in a series of initiatives to increase accessibility to valuable resources for members of the public who are unable to commute to the division office in Iwilei. With a dedication to compassion, innovation, and responsiveness, the WorkHawaiʻi team strives to eliminate as many barriers as possible to financial stability and self sufficiency for the people of Oʻahu.

"We are thrilled to announce our strategic collaboration with ten libraries across Oʻahu, significantly expanding our reach to disseminate vital information on our comprehensive services," WorkHawaiʻi Administrator Leinaʻala Nakamura said. "From housing and employment assistance to GED preparation and certification training, our commitment to empowering communities knows no bounds. This initiative aims to touch the lives of many community members, making essential resources accessible and fostering growth and success for all."
