In celebration of the Studio’s 75th Anniversary, the Halla Huhm Foundation and the Halla Huhm Korean Dance Studio will present a 75th Anniversary Concert on Saturday September 6, 2025 at 4:00 PM. The performance will take place at the Kaimuki High School Performing Arts Center at 2705 Kaimuki Avenue, Honolulu. The Halla Huhm Korean Dance Studio is the longest running school of traditional Korean dance and music in Hawaii.

The 75th Anniversary Concert will present a wide variety of traditional Korean dance and music selected from its vast repertory. Featured will be choreography by the late Halla Pai Huhm and by guest artists who had performed in Hawaii and taught at the studio in the past. The dance and music draw upon our Studio’s rich repertory of elegant court dances from the end of Goryeo and the Joseon period, shaman dance, Buddhist-inspired choreography, graceful folk dances set to traditional folk songs, charming children dancing, vibrant farmers’ festival rhythms, and refined Sanjo music on kayageum.

For generations, the Halla Pai Huhm legacy has remained a cornerstone of Korean dance in Hawaii—rooted in tradition, enriched by community, and carried forward with passion. Please join us as we honor our roots and celebrate 75 years of traditional Korean dance and music.
