63rd Annual Hawaiʻi Regional Scholastic Student Art Awards exhibit opens Friday 2/20/206

Graphic highlights the 63rd Annual Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit, on view February 20 – March 21, 2026. Photo features one of the exhibited works depicting a kalo (taro) plant growing from a mound, named ”Hāloa” by 12th grader Anela Hokoana from Kamehameha High School.

Experience Hawaiʻi through award-winning artworks by Hawaiʻi teens. This annual competition and exhibit is a longtime favorite for many visitors!
February 20 - March 21, 2026 at Capitol Modern: the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum.
Presented by the Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) and Lexus Hawaiʻi, with additional support from Zippy’s.

Island roots and reggae night, every third Friday of the month. Presented by Capitol Modern and Mundo Reggae. February 20, featuring Kali Navales, Izah Blue, FP All Stars, and Sulecta Lovers Market. Hosted by Miss Lulu. Art + Flea urban market, with more vendors than usual for your holiday shopping, food and beverage vendors, and local artists. Museum galleries open, including a new student art exhibit.
Free admission, all ages welcome.
