...with artist/writer/art teacher Tamara Moan
Tamara lives and works in Kailua, surrounded by an extended Hawaiian family and the vast Pacific. She received her art training at the University of Washington, earning a BFA in graphic design in 1985, and later received an MA in literature and creative writing from the University of Hawaiʻi. She exhibits her artwork regularly in Hawaiʻi. Her paintings are included in the collection at Aulani Disney Resort, in the maternity ward at Kapiʻolani Medical Center in Honolulu, and in the collection of the Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. Since 2001 she has taught art classes to students aged 3 to 85, often focusing on projects relating to travel, book arts, and experiences in the natural world. Sound healing practitioner Kaori Isomura says ...
