Fashion Illustration with Ryan Hanaoka
We are excited to announce that in July we will be offering a second series of Fashion Illustration Classes with Ryan Hanaoka. Through this series your aspiring designer will learn how to draw realistic-looking garments using a fashion croquis. Students will also sketch and render the fashion figure with a variety of materials, from watercolors to colored pencils. The class will focus on basic figure and clothing illustration techniques and stylization of garments.
This four-session series is designed for ages 9-17 (ages 6-8 may be accepted with instructor's approval). No prior experience necessary. Classes will take place on Fridays (July 11, 18, 25 and August 1 from 3:30-5:30 pm). Participants will leave with a set of illustrations of their own designs and croquis templates for future use. Basic materials will be provided.
Friday is Kaimuki Third Friday
We will offer Open Studio hours from 5-8pm for Third Fridays Kaimuki, a monthly celebration of our Kaimuki community.
Open Studio Hours
Drop by our studio for casual art fun! We set up the art stations and you & your kids can dabble in them. We change our stations weekly, putting out 2 new art activities each Wednesday
Mon, Tues AND Thurs, 9 am - 12 pm (we added Tuesday mornings just for June & July)
Mon thru Fri, 2 pm - 5 pm
Sat, 1 pm - 4 pm
$5 for each person participating. Drop-in, no pre-registration required.

Art Explorium provides a community art studio to nurture the creative potential in children.
Art Explorium is a non-profit organization in Kaimuki that provides art opportunities for youth. Stop by and try out our art stations (request a $5 per person coupon>>>).

Monday and Thursday from 9-12 am
Monday through Friday from 2-5 pm
Saturday from 1-4 pm

Art Explorium provides a fun, safe place where children of all ages have the opportunity and the permission to create freely. We firmly believe that art experiences are an important part of every person's growth and development. So... WE provide the space and materials, YOU provide the ideas and make them happen!
Art Explorium strives to be an eco-friendly organization. Many of the art materials in our studio are items that would normally be thrown in the landfill (old pieces of fabric, used bottle caps, small boxes, magazines, ribbon, etc.). We collect these used materials from our friends and local businesses, and Art Explorium visitors give these items a new life as art.
We offer art classes, birthday parties, and field trips to our studio. We also offer Open Studio time - come on in with your family and dabble in one or all of our art stations which offer activities like painting, sculpting, drawing, making mosaics and more. See you there!

Come on by! During Open Studio time you are free to drop in, use our space and materials and explore the process of creating.
We also offer art classes, birthday parties and field trips to our studio!
