Rules for Virtual Participation: All participants will be muted by the moderator. You will be recognized by raising your hand to be recognized by the chair. You can also write comments and questions in the chat box which we can address.
Rules of Speaking: Anyone wishing to speak is asked to raise their hand, and when recognized by the Chair, to address comments to the Chair. Speakers are encouraged to keep their comments under three (3) minutes, and those giving reports are urged to keep their reports under three (3) minutes. Please silence all electronic devices.
Note: The Board may take action on any agenda item. As required by the State Sunshine Law (HRS 92), specific issues not noted on this agenda cannot be voted on, unless added to the agenda. A two-thirds (2/3) vote eight (8) of this 11-member Board is needed to add an item to the agenda. Items may not be added if they are of major importance and will affect a significant number of people.
Covid-19: As a courtesy, please comply with social distancing of six (6) feet whenever and wherever possible to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Mask/facial coverings are required at all times while in attendance within the facility and practicing social distancing when possible in compliance with municipal orders. Please keep your masks on while speaking into the microphones.

VACANCIES - We have two (2) vacancies on our Board in Subdistrict 1, East Kaimuk , two (2) vacancies in Subdistrict 2, Wilhelmina/Maunalani Heights, and one (1) vacancy in Subdistrict 3, West Kaimuk . A. Upcoming Roadway Rehabilitation and Complete Streets Safety Improvements, Renee Espiau, AICP, Complete Streets Administrator
B. Trees for Kaimuki Spring Update, Meredith Speicher, Jade Rhodes, National Park Service, Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program.

B. Reminder: Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 9am to 2pm. Diamond Head State Monument will be hosting their annual Kids to Parks Day event, a national day of outdoor play celebrated by parks, cities, and towns nationwide. And as always Parking is free for all Kama ina in the park.
C. There is a scheduled Coffee with a Cop at Zippys Kahala on May 27, 2022, from 8am-10am with the District 7 Community Policing Team. Flyer and recent crime statistics at the above link.
D. The Kaimuk Library is postponing their presentation of their plans for updating the landscaping their Kokohead Frontage to make it more inviting with trees, native plants and benches. We will update you when they will present their plans.
E. We will invite the Department of Design and Construction to give an update to Project 14D at the next Board Meeting. This is in regards to the resurfacing of Sierra Drive/Maunalani Circle, 3600 Block of Sierra Drive and the lower part of Wilhelmina Rise. They are in the process of awarding the contract and obtaining permits.
F. The Honolulu Bicycling League is starting a Neighborhood Bike Leaders Program. They will support our neighborhood Association in implementing our priority bike project. The planned projects are at the Oahu Bike Plan. The projects are listed on pages 57-81 by neighborhood. We suggest you discuss with your board and neighbors to identify your top bike project. On the projects pages you'll find the neighborhood in the last column and the maps identifying these neighborhoods on pages 42-55.We will discuss under Board Business.

E. Discussion on having live or hybrid meetings in the future. We do not have a permanent space as of yet, thus the Kapalama Hale Address for live attendance. We are actively looking for alternatives if our preferred locations does not come through.
F. Approval of Wednesday, March 16, 2022 Regular Meeting Minutes; Wednesday, April 20, 2022 Regular Meeting Minutes.

A. The next regular meeting of the Kaimuki Neighborhood Board will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 6:30pm, in person and/or virtually via Zoom.
