KAHALA NUI EXPANDS "SPRING TO WELLNESS"
PROGRAM FOR SENIORS
As part of its support of seniors in the community, Kāhala Nui has expanded its Spring to Wellness program to offer ukulele and hula classes at Christ Centered Community Church (C4) at Kāhala Mall.
"Wellness is vital for successful aging, and we're pleased to be able to offer these engaging classes to the community," said Pat Duarte, President & CEO of Kāhala Nui. "The program expansion supports our ongoing efforts to provide Hawaii's seniors with opportunities that promote wellness and socialization to maintain an active lifestyle and to ward off isolation."
Kāhala Nui's Spring to Wellness program nurtures and inspires Hawaii's kupuna to choose wellness. Outreach staff and lifestyle instructors provide instruction on fitness and self-care, cooking demonstrations and opportunities for socialization.
Kāhala Nui instructor Nalani Cabanting of Nalani Productions will teach the following classes at C4:
- Hula -- last three Fridays of the month from 11:30a - 12:15p
- Ukulele -- every other Tuesday from 8:30 -- 9:45a
Spring to Wellness classes are also held on the Star of the Sea campus.
