Certified Nurse Aide


The non-credit Certified Nurse Aide is a state-approved 150-hour course combining lecture, lab, and clinical experience to prepare entry-level students in learning the basic nursing care for the elderly, the ill, and the disabled in the long-term care, sub-acute, and home health settings. Students completing the training successfully will be eligible to sit for the certification exam to become certified nurse aides (CNAs).

Course Dates: September 7 - November 19, 2022
Days and Times: Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and Saturdays, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Class conducted online through Zoom with in-person lab and clinic experience


As a first step, attend a mandatory information session conducted online through Zoom on one of the following dates and times. No appointment is needed. Program information and expectations as well as registration and qualification procedures will be discussed. PLEASE BE PROMPT TO THE ZOOM SESSION. Cooking Indian Food


This course provides participants a hands-on experience with KCC Culinary Faculty Chef Grant Sato, to learn the process of cooking popular style, South Indian food. Participants will make South Indian Chicken Curry, Tomato Lemon Chutney, and fresh grilled naan bread.

Chef Grant was the winner of the 2015 Global Taste of Korean International Cooking Competition. Let the world champion teach you a few Korean cuisine basics, Soondubu Jjigae (soft tofu stew) with tofu made from scratch, Miyeok-guk) Korean seaweed soup with beef), and his competition-winning Takjim (braised chicken with vegetables).
