EnVision Kaimukī to keep Waiʻalae Avenue clean and green for next two years
HONOLULU --The City and County of Honolulu is proud to announce that EnVision Kaimukī community volunteers have committed to maintaining City-landscaped areas along Waiʻalae Avenue, from 11th Avenue to Koko Head Avenue, through July 2027.
As part of their two-year commitment, volunteers will help keep the area clean and beautiful by picking up litter and removing overgrown or unwanted vegetation from City tree wells and landscaped spaces.
"We are truly grateful to EnVision Kaimukī for stepping up to care for this important corridor," said Mayor Rick Blangiardi. "Their commitment to keeping Waiʻalae Avenue clean and beautiful is a wonderful example of community pride and partnership in action."
This beautification effort is being carried out through the City's Mālama O Ka ʻĀina (MOKA) community volunteer program, administered by the Department of Facility Maintenance's Division of Road Maintenance (DRM).
The City extends its sincere appreciation to these volunteers for helping make Honolulu's neighborhoods more vibrant and welcoming.
Residents who are interested in participating in the MOKA program or other volunteer opportunities are encouraged to contact the Division of Road Maintenance at (808) 768-3600.
