In accordance with the Hawaii State Government's directive on COVID-19 issued on March 17, 2020, Movie Museum shall be temporarily closed from March 19, 2020. The film screenings scheduled from March 19 to 30 shall be postponed until further notice. Our facility will open again when one or more of the following three conditions are met:
1. A major Hawaii theater chain (Consolidated or Regal) re-opens for normal
operations
2. The Honolulu Museum of Art's Doris Duke Theatre re-opens for normal

Hawaii State Art Museum closing March 16
Beginning Monday March 16, 2020, the Hawai'i State Art Museum (HiSAM) will be closed to the public until further notice. Our priority is to protect the health and safety of our staff and visitors and support local, national and international efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). While there are no suspected or confirmed cases connected to the museum, we believe that this decision is in the best interest of public health.
